Sometimes music is described as a breath of fresh air. This is more than a breath of fresh air, this is the entire atmosphere. These songs are the sky, any time, day or night. It’s hard for me to describe this sound. There’s a hint of Explosions in the Sky, but I don’t know what else. Something European, aka foreign and therefore magical.
These are sounds that come from something more significant than ourselves. Reminds me of Klingande a bit, but more ethereal. Give it a listen, know that I’m doing the same.
Here’s “Rivers,” by Postiljonen.
Next up is Postiljonen’s “All That We Had Is Lost,” with a snippet of a cover of Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know.” This cover is as good as Autre Ne Veut’s. And if you’ve been following this blog, you know how much I love Autre Ne Veut. That is high praise.
Finally, check out “We Raise Our Hearts.” Relax, man. I can’t help but relax.
Oh hell, check out the whole album here: Postiljonen – Skyer. It just came out this past Monday.
